Maranatha Volunteers began arriving Friday, May 1, 2009 at Camp Arrowhead. By Tuesday there were about 41 volunteers who came from Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas and Kansas!
A total of 82 windows were replaced with new vinyl ones, 15 cabins were resided with Hardie Board and 22 roofs were replaced with new shingles. Many holes were repaired and plywood replaced on some. The cabins had not been majorly updated since they were built in the late 1960's and early 1970's!
Out of the 41 volunteers 16 were women and they were up on the roofs as well. All worked very hard and long hours. Camp Arrowhead is very blessed and thankful for all the work that was accomplished in such a short amount of time and for all the volunteers who gave of their time. Many people gave donations to this project and it could not have been done without them!! Thank you, thank you!!
