Our Camp Arrowhead rangers, Reynaldo and Alba Arias have been doing a wonderful job serving God here at Camp Arrowhead. They are the proud parents of four: Jorge (forever in our hearts), Daniel, Josh, and Katherine. Daniel works as a Speech teacher at the Lexington High School, where he also serves as a Speech coach. Josh works for Kearney Community Partners, a local nonprofit organization that primarily works developing programs for at risk youth. Last, there is Katherine, who works for Bryant Elementary in Kearney as well as interns at a local Nebraska Art Museum, MONA. Josh and Katherine are also artist (Katherine recently graduated from Hastings College with a degree in art). They spend a lot of their free time working on commissioned murals and paintings. Art is a pillar for the entire family. They understand the value of having an outlet to express yourself. Rey owns and operates a mechanic shop called Latino’s Shop in Lexington. Alba has been the manager of Hollingsworth and L&R Ranch Motels over the last 15 years. They are also devoted members of the Spanish Seventh-day Adventist church. Camp Arrowhead has always been a part of their spiritual experience. For years they have attended camp meetings and helped in several volunteer campaigns. When the opportunity arose to become the newest camp rangers, they had a family meeting to discuss the possibility and ultimately settled on leaving it to God. Evidently God has a plan for them at Camp Arrowhead. They are excited to be a part of this great facility. Camp Arrowhead is a place that really brings people close to nature and God. They hope to do their best in the Camp’s upkeep and most importantly, they hope to honor God through their service.
